Not Exactally an Svx. 3.3 Legacy GT

Time to expose my project after gathering all the info from you guys. 1999 Legacy GT with a 92 3.3 in it. I know you guys will hate me, but here it is.

I need to fix the gaps above the lights.

Here is how it sits now, but getting my 17s installed.

First run.

Here is the full thread.

Hope to bring it to Reading!

Re: Not Exactally an Svx. 3.3 Legacy GT

do you have the factory AC still working?

Do you ever plan on having it pass emissions testing? (you may not need it now b/c of where you live but you will need to someday)

Just curious....cool car I bet it goes like heck too

Re: Not Exactally an Svx. 3.3 Legacy GT

Look forward to meeting you at Reading since we weren't able to when I picked up that parts trans from you.
Seems like you've got things sorted out and also interested in the same questions as Matt.

Re: Not Exactally an Svx. 3.3 Legacy GT

No a/c. Condensor will not fit anywhere. If you go through my thread you will see how much room there is between the crank pulley and the radiator. Barely enough room for my hand. Ask me how I know. It goes pretty good too. Suposed to be a Wrx and keep up to an Sti, but never had a run with one. Fighting an exhaust leak right now and it is killing my power and sound. Hope to have that sorted soon. Anyone want to bring long tube headers to Reading?

If emissions come up everything will pass but the Obd1 and Obd2. Right now it is just visual.

Hope to meet you guys/gals too and I need to pick all your brains to go FI!

I think its sweet! I like the legacy, so don't let em hate. I hate your grill but other than that it is a really nice ride. How does she handle?

No hate here! Love Leggys! Looks a little high in the front though. Is it just the camera angle? Maybe my bad, as it's only that first shot that looks that way. I'd love to see/hear it run live!

Yea, no hate. At least you're keeping it in the family and it looks like a nice ride. f***ing vanagons...

It doesn't look high in the front, it looks level to me. You should black out the inside of your headlight housings, it would look badass (esp with a grille, lol). Nicely done man. I bet it's pretty quick.

Did you take a good drivable or repairable SVX off the street to get that engine?

Sean, yes, sadly httrdd, wearing nothing but a hockey mask, and weilding a loud, running chainsaw, chased down a virginal maiden driving the last surviving 20k Pearlie.
I think that we should stone him!

STONE HIM!

Re: Not Exactally an Svx. 3.3 Legacy GT

I don't hate you because you put an EG33 in a Legacy, but there are other reasons...

TJ did a great job on this car, still has a few things to finish up, but the car looks much better than it did when I first saw it. And I have to give him credit for taking on a project like this with his only car.

Prob just your eyes. Looks really level to me. I did not need the saggy butt spacers since the weight of the Eg33 balanced it out.

Yes keeping it in a Subaru. It like stealing from a big brother, although this time I took the heart. Ok not a good example.

Going to tear apart my headlight and do something (besides clean and resore). Not sure what yet.

Yes I bought a "parts car" and got down there and it was nice. I still feel bad about riping it apart.

Come on you love answering the phone when I call! You wait to see what is in store next. It starts with T and ends with Mission swap.

All in all it will be good to learn more about the Svx and its many capabilities.

I believe I have said it before, if not I will say it now, too bad about the "parts" car but hell of a job you have done, I like it.

Re: Not Exactally an Svx. 3.3 Legacy GT

Thank you. If you go through the 20 pages of the link I posted you will see all the build pics and what I have planned for this beast. I made a DIY if you guys want it on "How to Dye your Carpet." Looks and feels great!
