You have done some great work and should be proud of yourself.

OK to drive the car, provided you keep the fault in mind and note any further deterioration in performance. Try not to cause the torque convertor to slip for any length of time, due to no lock up function. There should be an approximately 500 RPM variation registered on the tacho. with convertor fully slipping.

You have a situation whereby, something is not happening, rather than something occurring which will cause damage. No need to panic.

Cheers, Trevor.

Re: Transmission input

Thanks again, all this automatic stuff is new to me, I'm a manual guy, but love these SVX.
So as for driving it, no burn outs, and just cruise around with a light right foot?? To keep the tc from silipping alot? The oring at the end of the tranny check/fill pipe is drooling on the left exhaust so I need to drain the pan to fix that and while I'm at it I'll get after that b soleinoid, thanks again, everyone enjoy there SVX's......................G

Yes No burn outs....... No need to worry about the Torque converter slipping a lot, it is suppose to do that. The Lock-up clutch is really for.

The leak at the filler tube is just an O ring. If you are going to pull the pan to do the solenoid, you may as well replace the screen filter.

Harvey.
