Reading ELEVEN "Rooms Booked" Thread
.
The rooms contract for Reading XI has been entered into the HI reservation system. Here is the pertinent information: Reading XI will be held Friday, April 16 to Sunday, April 18, 2010 6170 MORGANTOWN ROAD...MORGANTOWN, PENNSYLVANIA 19543 Here is the actual breakdown of rooms, actually the same number as this year: Friday night/ April 16... 50 rooms ....40 rooms with two queen beds ....10 rooms with one king bed Saturday night/ April 17...50 rooms ....40 rooms with two queen beds ....10 rooms with one king bed Room Rate: $80.00/night plus tax, or $88.80/night total. This is only $2.00 more than last year's rate. Reservation cutoff date for block rate: Monday, March 8, 2010 Cancellation: Before 6:00pm on scheduled date of arrival to avoid penalty. Is a no-show occurs on the scheduled arrival date, the first night will be charged to the credit card and all consecutive nights reserved will be canceled. Call the hotel and mention that you are reserving rooms under the SVX World Network that has already been set up. Tell them the room type you want and the dates you will need it. The number is 800-339-0264 or 610-286-3000 You do not have to book both nights. Make sure that you specify the number of days and/or dates you will be reserving. ________________________________________________ You have two options: Option 1: TELEPHONE RESERVATION. EASIEST METHOD! Call the hotel and mention that you are reserving rooms under the SVX World Network or the SVX Club that has already been set up. Tell them the room type you want and the dates you will need it. Get your confirmation number and enter it on this list. The number for the hotel is 610-286-3000 You do not have to book both nights. Make sure that you specify the number of days and/or dates you will be reserving. Option 2: RESERVE ONLINE You can register online HERE Once on their homepage, select your check-in and check-out dates on the left side of the screen. Enter SVX in the "Group Code" box. Leave "Best Available". as the Rate Preference. Then click the yellow "Check Availability" button. Your next screen should show you the room choices at the $80.00/night rate for either the king bed or two queen beds. Click the "Reserve" button of your choice. ON the next page, enter your personal information and CC information. Be sure to check the two boxes at the bottom of the page. Click the "Confirm Reservation" button. Your next page gives a recap of everything and your confirmation number at the top of the page. Remember, your credit card WILL NOT be charged until after you check out, so register early. There are no holds or advance deposits held against your card. Cancellation Policy: Canceling your reservation before 6:00 PM (local hotel time) on your date of arrival will result in no charge. Canceling your reservation after 6:00 PM (local hotel time) on the date of your arrival, or failing to show, will result in a charge of 1 night per room to your credit card. Taxes may apply. Failing to call or show before check-out time after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation. _______________________________________________ As usual, if you register early enough, we can always add to the block if we fill it up. Even if you think you might possibly go, commit and book your rooms. You CC is NEVER charged until you check out so there is no worries there. Don't hold back and wait. You can also register early to hold the room in the block. If at the last minute you can't attend, Don't cancel! Instead, you could offer it to other members in the event all rooms have been filled. It is not a cancellation, but a transfer of rooms within the block from one individual to another. Just like last year, this is a Reading ELEVEN "Rooms Booked" thread. I want everyone who actually books a room at the hotel to add their name, screen name, number of nights reserved, confirmation number and type of room. __________________________________________________ This will make it much easier for me (and the hotel) to keep track of where we are and what we may need. According to the signup sheet, 23 members are committed to being at Reading XI...
But only 5 have registered at the hotel. If you think you are going to be there, register for your room now! You can always caancel later. Your CC will not be charged in anyway until AFTER you have stayed there and checked out. .
