Does anyone have more info on this car?
Im looking for more info on this Subaru Brat with a STI drivetrain. I can get a rust free 85 brat for next to nothing and would like to know what is involved in this swap or at least a 2.2 upgrade. Thanks

Thanks Huck the local junkyard has excellent prices on parts and has enough Subarus to build something like this for not too much money. Now if I can fit a SVX motor with a 5 speed into a Brat

I was thinking a EG or EZ H6 and manual gearbox into a ~2005 era forester would be kinda cool, kitted for soft-roading, with brush guards and lights and such... Turbo is good, but thirsty and lots of parts to maintain. a nice smooth H6 might be nice.
I never understood why the Outback's EZ-H6 never made it into the Baja, or the new Forester as a top-end model, like LLBean or something... I also think the new Forester should have the body back-halved for Baja II mini-SUT duty, and properly equipped to haul and tow at least up to 100% of it's own weight worth of trailer...
