Cool 1 OF 1 - faded red

To remove the faded red (pink in colour / color) I use Cherry Glaze plastic polish, I tried some on Hairys' rear lamp cluster to get rid of some marks, he was quite impressed (and it gave off a nice smell).

Cool USA spoiler on Hairy???

Actually the JDM spoiler was just that - a JMD product.

The rest of the world got the "normal" spoiler - although I have seen pictures somewhere of a USA made rear spoiler that was about 3x the height of the "normal" type - bit like the Subie WRX type.

I will look that polish up Steve. On every SVX the mirror housings fade. This is because they were painted in a different factory, and that factory did not use UV resistant top coat.

Reds are particularly susceptible to UV fade. Any red RX7 I have ever seen has different coloured bumpers front and rear from the bodywork, because of fade. No disrespect to your red car Steve, which looks superb as always, but that susceptibility is the reason I have not owned a red car since 1974.

Nice pictures, thanks for sharing fellas.

Congrats on 100 posts!!

The spoiler on Hairy's is actually that supplied for the "rest of the world", which is why it is not normally seen on a JDM car. The JDM option spoiler sits down around the sides of the bootlid, rather than on top of it.

The only Subaru optional one that was seen on Japanese cars was the one that dipped down to the centre of the bootlid. They are very rare, and IMO not that pretty to look at.

I notice that you have a hitch on your red SVX. I've toted with the idea of getting one to haul a small trailer made for motorcycles. Is the one you have removable? I don't want a permanent protrusion under my bumper.
