Guys, I think we all know AWS SVXes exist. Just not in the US. Even Mike (eddycat) will agree to that. I do wish I own one though. I drove a AWS prelude once. Damn, those things can hug coners like no tomorrow.

kinda different, but my 928 has the "Weissach axle." a double flex-joint lower control arm locates the rear wheel position so that correct toe-in is always maintained, with or without forward thrust. you haven't lived until you've snapped around a 90 deg. corner at 50mph!

don't Mitso 3000GT's have AWS, too? i very briefly considered one of those before i bought the SVX, but they are everywhere - i'm sick of looking at them. i was also hesitant about the build quality.

I agree. Truth be known it was a toss-up for me, between the SVX and the 928. It's hard to find anything that the 928 doesn't do well. I was just able to find a good SVX first. After I get this one sorted out I'll probably go hunting for a 928 (and a '69 Continental convertible.)

Ahem...me thinks I will be able to bum a ride in the rarest of SVX's!!! If it was only yellow too!!

Don't worry - poor Freestyler will be trying to figure out what is happening when 5 SVX's (and a Camry flagship!!!) surround his, the owners jump out brandishing cameras and video recorders, whilst the estwhile ringleader of this merry band instructs the car to be lifted whilst he scurries underneath, obsure Japanese techincal manual in hand, to explore this treasure!!!

*hmmm...I may have scared him off now!*

Seriously, we are nice people --- "hail to the 4WS deity"

James

The one 4WS car I drove handled like none other I've ever driven. The thing was glued to the corneres, also it was easy as hell to park

James' car has two "cams." Unfortunately, one of them is in the name.

James, although very dear to us and accepted as one of the family, does not own an SVX (alas). He drives a Camry. A camry has one cam. Therefore, one cam in the car and one Cam in the (Cam-ry) name = 2 Cams

I unfortunately suffer from that terrible affliction "Svxis pickius choosiest buyeris", a woeful disease that causes potential owners of an SVX to become so picky and choosy about an SVX that, months or even years later, are still not driving one but have managed, in the interim, to become raving lunatics and collect parts of SVX's and keep them in one's room!!!

The rarity of them in Oz, combined with their infrequent presence on the used car market, explains why I am sans SVX

Very sad....

4WS

I got one for you guys...I had a Mitsubishi Gallant with 4WS! It was a limited edition Gallant VR-4, yes VR-4, the same type idea as the 3000 GT only 4 cyl. (only one turbo) AWD and a sedan! The car had the same set up as the 4WS SVX. THe wheels turned the same as the fronts and only at high speeds (makes me wonder considering they trade turbos too whos design was it?) But that car had an incredible ride too, talk about 90 degrees at 50 MPH! I sorta miss that car (not too much).
