anyone heard of a fuel strainer getting clogged or just go bad?? when i turn my pump on it makes a sucking noise as if it cant get any fuel..

Its possible, though rare unless you got nasty neighbors who like to shove mud down there. It really isn't that hard to get at. Just remove the rear seat and you have access to the cover for the pump. Hardest thing is loosening the retaining big plastic nut holding the pump in place.
