Apologies
I'm afraid I'm going to miss this one. I have just confirmed that I will be in Dubai that weekend, leaving following Monday for Almaty, Kazakhstan. It's for a good cause. I am involved in the utility infrastructure master planning for the Dubai Waterfront Development, a new mixed use development that will ultimately house 1.8 million people. Cogeneration, waste to energy plants, district chilled water service, distributed photovoltaics, etc. Project in Kazahkstan is much more pedestrian, a 1.4 msf office complex, but, hey, it keeps food on the table. Will I make Continental Platinum by July 1 this year?
I have a reservation at the hotel for Saturday night only. If anyone is interested in taking it over, PM me. I will cancel it this coming Saturday afternoon. I'm sorry I won't get to see you all. Last year was my first Reading, and I really enjoyed it. Cut a do-nut in the parking lot and drink a beer for me. SVXfiles: Sent you a PM.

 My uncle is also a mech engineer...he's a MD for a while and works for them more than 30yrs. He always travels. Hope to be able to meet you one day. PS: I'm not to able to make it too. : (

I am really sorry I won't be able to make it this year. I met a lot of on-line friends at the last meet. It's great to put faces on the avatars. I hope I and the rest of you will be around for next year. Anyway, I though I would post a few pictures of my last trip to Dubai.
