The P/N for the SVX embossed emblem is J1210PS040. They run $19.01 each at Subaruparts.com and they are currently in stock.

Just sign in and click on PARTS (by the rear wheel of the Outback photo) and enter your part number. They also show up on ebay from time to time

actually I'm leaning more towards a dark grey one for in front of the rear wheel, I think that would look pretty cool

It'd be nice if I could sell out my inventory first, then we can figure out who's going to make more of them. As long as the $$ goes here all is good with me.

I still have a lot of them, so come on and buy some now!

Mine say svxworldnetwork.org, which there is a long and old story behind...but nevertheless, that site links up to here, so they are still relevant. Very short version of the story is this: Once upon a time, some of us were working on starting up a SVX club more along the lines of a traditional club, with this site being our meeting place. We were the same people as you see here, but a separate club. We collected some dues/donations and donated them here to Chris. There was much confusion about who was what, and eventually the 'club' idea sort of faded away but we are all still here.

Back in May of 2001, John Rowe (of SubaruSVX.com) and I paid for the cost of producing 500 network decals and also the cost of having the brass die made so that we could have them custom die-cut. We figured out the costs of the 3-color printing, die charges and shipping, plus a little additional for first class postage and divided by 500. he took 250 and sent me the other 250.

The finals costs were $1.75 each, so to make things simple, we rounded the price up to $2.00 each. There was really not much profit to be made from these stickers. I undertook this process just to have an identification for the new network. I personally sent out many orders from members here.

For more background, see this thread;

http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...ighlight=decal (especially post #21)

and here:
http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...ighlight=decal

When John's website store closed a few years ago, I bought his remaining supply of decals. Since I was more active here and attended meets, such as Reading, I was in a better position to give newer members an opportunity to get them. I continued to sell them over the years and my supply is now very low. I only have 16 left!

I also have a few of the "original" stickers with the SVX logo in black. The top of the oval reads SUBARU SVX CLUB and the bottom has the svxclub.com url. These are a nostaligic and collectible item from our early history.

In any case, if the network agrees, I can arrange with Pine Decals for more of these decals to be made. The prices may have risen slightly since 2001, but we already have the die paid for so the prices may actually be the same. All the profits would go directly to the network. I just don't want to intrude on Stevebsy's efforts in selling his stickers. The major difference between them is the URL (mine is the subaru-svx.net and his is the svxworldnetwork.org)

Let me know.

I just finished talking to Jeanette at Pine Decals (who made our original stickers) Having dealt with her over the years and recommending others to her company, I managed to secure a large discount on another batch of stickers.

In 2001, we paid $1.30 each for decals (based upon an order of 500) That included the die charge, but not shipping

As of today, we can get the exact same decals, die-cut, etc for only 1.25 each for an order of only 250. This is $312.50 for a 250 decal order.

But the good news is for an order of 500, the price drops to .67 each! The total for this is $335.00. Look at it this way, for the additional 22.50, you get an additional 250 decals.

They have the artwork already. Their turnaround time is 2-3 weeks. If we ever wanted to change anything, their is no charge. At one time I toyed with the idea of dropping the URL at the bottom and substituting the word MEMBER instead.

It might also make a nice commorative anniversary decal. Change the top wording to FIFTEENTH ANNIVERSARY and the bottom wording to 1992-2007.

I still have a bunch of these that Steve sent me to sell at Reading last year. Due to my "musical car" situation last year I forgot to bring them along. I'll be sure to have them this year....

Steve, Chris, any official,
If you want me to send these to anyone let me know after you get their donation and I'll mail them out.

Thanks for all of the information. That clears up a lot. I knew about some of it, but not all of the details.

other decal

What is the gold decal Subaruparts.com refer to right above the embossed decal. There is no picture of it and it sells for about $1 more? Anyone asked them what this decal looks like?
