about to buy 92 svx, couple questions
hey guys,
i'm just about to buy an svx, probably this weekend. i have a wrx but know nothing bout the svx's. anyways, to the point.. the car is a 92, has 150k miles on it, rust free, however the car will just die out of no where when driving but you can throw it in neutral and it will start right back up no problem. is this a common problem, anyone know what it is? also, sometimes when i rev it up i hear a ticking sound. any help would be great. thanks in advance.

This doesn't sound like a comon problem. The ticking sound like lifters and they sometimes tick. Nothing to worry about. They should quiet down in a little while. Check out the How-To Doc and there is a write up about buying a used SVX. Check it out, it may help you check this one out. Good luck.

Sounds like he/she passed on this car. Sounds like it was a sensor failing (MAF/Crank/Cam).
