We can get rims "refurbished" here too, but the charge is usually 100Euro per rim.

They sand blast and repaint as described already, but they also fill in any missing alloy at the edge, and they straighten the rim back to true, which is brilliant if you have been hitting the sort of potholes we grow here in Ireland

I do agree that many new rims make the SVX look younger and more striking. I was merely making the point that it's unwise to buy new or bigger rims for appearance alone. If they are heavier they will have a bad effect on how the car handles.

I'm building my svx to be a nice looking daily driver, not a race car. After the 5mt swap and some wheels I'm going to buy a second car to mod for speed like a t/a or something.

In terms of buying rims soley to lower the unsprung weight of these whales, which rims would weigh less than our stockies? I was considering the Gram Lights shown on tirerack.com but at $400+ a pop I want them to actually weigh less. Thoughts?

mine weiged less, how much less im not sure but you could feel the difrence when holding the 2 rims with no tires on them
