sunroof - moonroof SVX-Legacy

Hi everyone. Does anyone know or have the experience of installing a Legacy sunroof in the SVX (same year)? Why legacy? In Switzerland you don't find SVX parts (on the yard) and I like the fact that the legacy has a glass-see through window. Just cosmetics, but why not? Chris

The Leg's all slide within the roof, whereas the SVX pops out of it. I really don't think it would fit without a lot of modifications.

Do you have a sunroof now?

Someone a while ago posted that they were thinking of replacing the stock metal panel with a clear panel. I'm not sure if that project ever happened though.

Hi. Yes have the sunroof (standard stock metal panel-1995). As you said, it pops out and as the Legacies I've looked at are dead, I can't test the movement (pop-out). You must be right and thats the confirmation I was looking for so, if modificaitions are needed, I'll wait for now. Thanks for your feed-back. C

Hocrest, I believe the 90-94 Legacy Sunroofs have the same general idea of action as the SVX. I think they slide outside the roof like the SVX does.

Thanks Jason. I'll verify if Subaru dealers can confirm the compatibility to me and if I get a 100% YES (which never happens unless you buy a NEW part from them, which is why this forum is great), I'll go for it and keep you all posted. C
