Uhhhh....Every morning at the middle school, I have outside bus duty. Each morning a black Geo Metro with a bright yellow "R" windshield banner and side markings cruises by. It has some type of muffler, but I use the term loosely. Non-silenced 3 cylinder cars do have a characteristic exaust note....(I used to have a Chevy Sprint (Metro)) Anyway, this micro metro riceburner has a subwoofer that takes up the entire hatch area, and I think it produces more horsepower than the engine does. Maybe I should order some of those rice tickets.... Don

There is a hole in that theory, Ron. Krispy Kreme people always have a glazed look in their eyes... Don

I burned some rice the other day.....

I was driving around a few days ago when a completely riced out Hyundai Tiburon pulled out in front of me. It had a huge HYUNDAI sticker in the rear window, racing stripes everywhere, and two big coffee can exhaust tips. I decided to follow him, and within a few minutes we were heading towards the highway. As we climbed the on-ramp I nailed the gas, drove over the grass median between the ramp and the highway (why wait for them to connect?), and swerved in to the far left lane. As soon as the Tiburon saw this, he swerved in to the far left lane also. He didn't stand a chance........at 115 mph I finally let off the gas. The Tiburon was at least a half mile behind. What a joke. I hope I humbled the driver in that POS.

ouch, that seams like a pretty bad idea, esp since people drive like morons and wind up in the medians here. Maybe people are more sane there because they dont want to end up on the spikes. Come to think of it, I like that idea, you cant drive, you die

BTW, how big of a spike are we talking? I'm envisioning like a 3 ft tall spikey pit of death

Yeah, 3 feet spikes of doom & destruction are about right. The medians just get covered in spikes (so no one will drive on them) but the real kicker out here in New Hampshire is the rumble strips. Instead of just some grooves in the pavement along the side of the road, we have national guard troops stationed every 200 yards with bazookas. If you start drifting off the side of the road, they let you know with a shot across the nose of your car. Also, sometimes they get bored and like to gang up on semi trucks.
