Help! Replaced the 4eat and don't have any ATF flow.
What are the possibilities here? This is a Leg tranny into a Leg. I move the gear selector and the car doesn't do anything. I disconnected the ATF lines from the tranny and there is no flow with the engine on. If the torque converter drives the ATF pump and we know the TC is spinning, is it possible the circlip just popped out on installation? I suppose it could be a dead pump, but are there any other possibilities? I suppose there is no way to get this to work without pulling the tranny again. Has this happened to anyone? Thanks.

I put another 4 quarts of ATF(10 total) in it and it still won't pump. How long does it take to prime this system? I've let it run for about 4 minutes like this but nothing.

Great. I just found out the tranny sat in the yard for 5 years.

Did you pull the pan and change the internal filter?
Can you pull off the line under the starter (the one that comes from the front of the trans)and check the check valve, ball and spring?

I agree with svxfiles. This is a simple check and you should always replace the internal filter with a tranny swap.
Not to make you look dumb but i have to ask if you installed the TC shaft into the TC before you installed it. This drives the pump, no pump/non flow. There should have been a noticeable clunk when the TC seats into the pump. Also if the TC was not seated correctly and the tranny mounted to the engine you can break the AT pump very easily. Steve
