Exclamation Please Help!!! Thermostat! Emergency!

I replaced my radiator, but the thermostat keeps fluctuating, the coolant is boiling and burning out to empty...Can someone tell me how to take the thermostat out...
I hear it only takes a few minutes to do so I was hoping I could do it myself until I can get a new one. I have a wedding to go to tomorrow so I really need to drive it.
Thanks!!!

Why are you so sure it's the thermostat? Could it be the headgasket?

My car is out for a wheel alignment or I'd take a look for the thermostat. I do have a suggestion though. If you just replaced the radiator, make sure that you have enough coolant in the system. Could be you had a lot of air after the radiator change. I've had that problem and from looking at the temp gauge, you'd think the thermostat was opening and closing.

It's the thermostat b/c the mechanic that put in the radiator said it was...The coolant tank was filled but once the thermostat kept fluctuating, the coolant kept bubbling and completely dried out. I refilled it and now it smokes...doing the same thing...I just wanna take it out until I can have time to put in a new one.

How do I make sure enough is in the system? Directly pour it into the radiator?

Take off the radiator cap (when engine is cool of course) and make sure you can see coolant to the top. If not, pour it in the radiator directly. Then put some in the overflow tank.

Stacey,

The Thermostat is under the engine. Follow the lower radiator hose to the engine. Two, 10 milimeter bolts hold the thermostat housing on. Take off the housing and the thermostat is underneath it. See picture.
