I think that there's not a bad idea to keep the same color or another shade of red. Usually, keeping the same color is cheaper than changing a new color as for the paint job.

Below is one of my yellow svx pics and give you some ideas how it look like and one more gp pic that shows how it compared to the group (a recent pic with tom)....

I can't help to show you one more....3 beautiful asses.

Hope you get the color you like in the best decision.

Thanks for all the replies . I have to say the yellow with the black top looks sweet . I also like the red with black top idea . That would save me some money

Thanks for liking my color. I bought that SVX couple, couple mths ago really just because of the color.

I like that idea of PA_SVX too. I've probably seen that color combo before...sweeet.

No, the engine compartmen wasn't done. According to the PO, I think they have the color done thru a friend's shop for about twenty five hundreds 2 yrs ago.

SSSVX, did you buy the yellow SVX off ebay? I think that is the same car I bid on back around january? I really liked that color yellow on the SVX, the amber in the turn signals doesnt go with it though, clear corners would make it look 10x's nicer. You should paint the little bezzles(sp?) around the mirrors black again so it looks more like a stock color. There is also a guy here in San Antonio that has a yellow SVX (he posts on these forums) but its not a very good color, its to dark of a yellow for the SVX.

Most metallic reds are darker, however the new Mazdas feature a nice, bright metallic red clearcoat that would freshen the look of a red SVX.

Yeah dustin, I got it off eBay in March. I think it's probably the same one. Remember he said there's a kinda grinding noise? It's from the tranny but he
said the tranny was rebuilt 20k ago. Overall, it was not a pleasant purchase, I posted one thread with those problems. It's alot of problems to take care. But it's going to be in better and better with my best ability. I have spent about one thousand to get 'er back to road now. To make 'er perfectly, I estimate I probably have to spend about 3x money I paid for it.

Thanks for the suggestion.....it'll take some times to make 'er better. One thing, same as you, I really like that color yellow with the black top. I got it just because of the color and I knew it's not as good as my teal one in mechanical-wise. The color is cool in my opinion, it's as not a plain as the VW's beetle and it's not as rich as orangy as other factories like mazda's or nissan's.

Yesterday when I got her back and doing wax....there're people passing by and asking me "how much did I want for my car?" and it turns heads while I drove around the town, even a couple police officers.

Thanks all for the replies! I Think I'm going to try to keep her in the original paint as long as possible!! I still think if I were to paint her tomorrow it would either be the Yellow or repaint red w/ black tops

Is your interior beige? if it is, try to paint your car with a reddish burgundy color. Like the one found on the new Renaults Meganes... this color looks awesome, in the sun it shows three colors, Red, Burgundy and Dark orange
