It isn't too bad at times, but at others, I can hardly read the posts. I usually look at them later.
 I don't think that should be a problem if we did that, but I don't know if it would help either.

Lets just say one guy saves a video in his locker then posts a link on nasioc and it gets 3,000 hits in a matter of hours. That's alot of bandwidth to absorb.
Would it help all the time - depends on how badly it is being abused now and by how many people. I'm sure there are traffic logs and referrals are logged so it could be tracked. It could be a problem, or it could be nothing. Depends I guess on what the server can handle. I do know that at times this site slows down to about 30KB/sec. On a saturday morning with about 38 members logged in right now I am getting from 40-90KB/sec downloading large files from lockers.

I'm not sure how much disabling elternal linking is going to help. Most people have already learned that if you copy and paste the link it will work. Either that or disable the referring page option in their browser.

I agree that we shouldn't be serving as people's "Internet storage" site, especially if it slows the site down....

Another option would be to only allow access to lockers for logged in members. Of course then all the files in the lockers would have to be moved to SQL since they are currently stored in file form.

Speaking of personal lockers...
I can't seem to access mine to delete or add pics. Did I forget how or is there an edit button hiding somewhere? I'm going to my personal locker to attempt this, is that correct?
I've done this before and I don't remember it being difficult....

You could access your locker before and there was a link on the above right side of this page. Because of the upgrade that was done the last couple days, that is not working now. No one can see the lockers. This will have to be fixed by Chris who is doing the upgrade. Hopefully, they will work again in the next few days.

I was able to access and manage my locker by using the Personal Lockers link and then going to my username. Is this the new system?

That is the way you will need to do it until we get the link up again. You can also put a link to your locker in your signature so you can go there directly from where ever you are.

Hey,
I was curious if anyone could tell me how to make a poll thread. I'm probly overlooking something obvious, but I fiddled around with creating a tread and couldnt figure it out. I also checked to see if there were any how to's on it but I m coming up empty handed. Thanks in advance
