Sorry you couldn't make it, it was a sun baked 94 F humid BLAST!

The shop is in Cumberland MD, 21502.

The stock ratio is 3.545 to 1.

Transmissions are USUALLY $450-$550, rear end differentials are usually $100, labor is usually 9.5 hours at $35 an hour, transmission filter, fluid, gasket, the occasional roll pin, unless something is REALLY screwed up, yes, thats all. Tom

Where is Sterling? Hocrest and I will be going down to Cumberland WV on the 30th of July and racing the 31st and hope to be staying with SVXfiles. We will be bring the trailered SVX and my F-250 down Not 100% sure I wanna do it as it would make a very long day but let me know what prices you come up with to tow it.

Second, Thanks for the kind words Guys.

And for $600.00 or so in parts, $332.5 in labor, (9.5 hours at $35.00 an hour), some filters and fluids, you can be back on the road with LOTS more torque!!!
16% more with 4.11s, and 36-25% more with 4.44s.Tom

wow, i just saw this thread. hope everything went well with your fix mitch. that's one hell of an honest price. that's about what my mechanic charged me to rebuild mine. the parts price is right on but the labor price was slightly higher (due to slightly higher hourly rate, oh yeah i forgot to mention the rate was higher at MY mechanic's shop). two thumbs up to svxfiles!

i reread my post and saw that i didn't specify that you were cheaper in labor costs.

it is by dulles international airport 4 miles down the road from there. i don't think u want to do it because u have to go through md in va then back into md to cumberland. 15-20 miles into va. what price do u think is reasonable

Holy S**t!! I guess i'd better jump on the deal that i've been offered. My mechanic has a '95 or 6 (i forget which) Legacy and he'll sell me the tranny, installed, with the rear differential, and also installing my ATF cooler and OEM ATF external filter, for $550 TOTAL!
