spot lights
Below the sunroof controls there are those 4 buttons 2 spot, one room,
and the set on the right side is burned out buttons work but they dont light up. I bought this car from a Honda dealer, and they said oh yeah we'll fix that but when i picked the car up they said the buttons work and didnt understand what I was asking and said are you sure they light up. I know its not a big deal but if i could fix it it would be nice cause little stuff like that bothers me. Im sure its just a bulb so has anyone ever changed this? Or do I need to take it to my local Subaru dealer and pay alot?

Plenty okf people have replaced the lights all over thier cars including those. Do a search I'm almost sure somebodys done a write up on those.

I've got two of those bulbs burned out.....They are under the buttons with the words on it..........I think the cover for the whole housing comes off with a screwdriver....Just have to be careful not to ruin the upholstery.
Once you get the housing off from the roof, unplug the connection and you'll be able to take apart the unit without it hanging there. I'm sure someone has pics of doing this. Anyone know what to use to clean the buttons...they look old and weathered, plus people with dirty fingers like to touch those and I'd like to have the words nice n' white.

no i ment the lettering that says room and spot
on the right side do not light up, I followed those directions and it looks like they are to replace the two large bulbs thats are the lights for the cabin i have a small replacement light from a subaru dealer that is supposed to be for what i want.

Thanks, yes I did. Lwin did one on the dash, and he was going to send it to me to put in the How-To docs, but still hasn't. I will get back to him.
