wheel bearings

I need to replace my right rear wheel bearing. The dealer wants $140 per bearing. Where else can they be bought and how much should they cost. How much labor should I expect to pay my mechanic. Thanks. Bill

That is way cheap!!!!! Go for it. Parts alone are nearly $100.

No, that was just the parts. That is what I want to know is how much should I pay per bearing and where can I get them besides the dealer. Thanks. Bill

wheel bearing cost

I just paid $51 plus tax for the bearing at AutoZone. I always have trouble findilng the seals, particularly the inner seal. Paid about $6 for the outer seal at O'Reilly's. I have only found the proper inner seal at the dealership. They want about $15 I think per seal.
Good luck.

I got the right wheel bearing done today at the dealer. I got the bearing from Auto Zone as suggested and the labor at the dealer was $200. At least I know it was done right. It is so quiet now like I remembered when I drove a new one for a year in 1992. The left ones are quiet. thanks for all your help. Bill
