I'm a wanderin...
After replacing the front cv with Raxles and replacing lousy cooper cobras with new Avons(MAJOR upgrade), our 979 is starting to wander without any on center stability, Now it's worsening and wil pull off towards a raised yellow road stripe or even the slightest rut.
Any ideas what's loosening up? ONly 40k and an AWD. Thanks. |

Ball joints and tie rods need to be checked.... Jack a corner up and try to move the tire if it moves to far you may have to replace them(reasonable distance say max 1 inch) also anytime you pull suspension apart its best to get an alignment done (checked).

Alignment was next step but it wouldn't get progessively worse after new CVs-it should be consistently off. Odd. Can't imagine balls'd be gone after 37000 FL miles. Who knows-it's an SVX!

I would also recommend an alignment.
