It is a Carl Zeiss lens, one of the best producers in the world... possibly the best, and it's for a 1960's camera, the last lens I needed to have the complete collection! They show up from time to time, but this looked super nice from what I understand the camera cost several hundred dollars...40 years ago!

I am a pessimistic optimistic. I think the worst is going to happen, that way when it does, i don't feel as bad, but if the best happens, i am twice as happy.

Engineering precision. Quality materials. Workmanship.

(And to think: the lens on my own camera was on sale at Sears.)

Lens

Hi Napa, If you have one of these cameras from the 1950's and early 1960's you know that you take the front element from the standard lens and replace it with the lens that you purchased. If i remember right, the Contaflex 35mm camera had a 45mm/F2.8 lens. It was a SLR and had a leaf shutter. Good for electronic flash sync at any shutter speed. Almost an antique. Take care, BOBB

It is a 2.8, but I just checked and it is a 50mm, I've got a Nikon N90, N8008, and a Mamiya RZ67 proII in addition to the Contaflex, but the Contaflex is the favorite, I don't use it much because it isn't as easy to use in a tight situation, but it is so precise and simple that I love it. I've got a list of cameras an arm long that I want
