That's the last time I follow another SVX!

I was at a stoplight yesterday (on Division heading south) in my red SVX (FWD model) when I noticed another red SVX (just like mine) turn on to the road in front of me (Francis Rd.). So, since I've only seen one other red SVX (besides mine) since I've owned my car, I decided to follow him/her. So I start following the beautiful automobile and I notice that the license plate says "TOOSVXY". 'That's pretty neat,' I think to myself. So as I'm following, I'm thinking of all the questions I'd like to ask this person. "Is yours an AWD model? How long have you owned it? How many miles on the odometer? Are you a member of www.subaru-svx.net?" are a few examples. Eventually, we start heading into a residential neighborhood. Minor detail: we just had a snow storm in Spokane and it has snowed at least 6 inches in the last 3-4 days. Also: the residential neighborhood streets haven't been plowed yet. So now I'm barely keeping up with the SVX ahead of me (I'm guessing it was AWD or had snow tires) and eventually I get stuck. And I wasn't just stuck for 5 or 10 minutes. I was stuck for over an hour!!
So here are the lessons I learned: my SVX is FRONT WHEEL DRIVE, and my SVX is not ALL WHEEL DRIVE.

That's just not fair!!!
I can't believe they didn't see you and stop to help!
But there are SVX owners like that here in western CO... they don't really care.. it's just a car (I know, I've tried to get their interest, hubby says I stalk them).

I know what you mean.

I did the 48hrs trip with the Subaru club. There were many other models not just SVX. I was the only FWD. We got snow on the second day. We were going through the mountains in upper NY. I was all over the place trying to stay with them.

I've found that most SVX owners are thrilled to see another SVX owner - even though I've stalked them. The majority of my introductions seem threatening at first, so I try to appear as non-threatening as possible. So far it's worked - even at an ATM in the rain.

But not all SVX owners are car people in general, and few (like most drivers) use their rear-view mirrors. I'll spot an SVX in my rear-view from a mile away. But I've followed SVX owners for miles, eventually stopping where they do, and still had a surprised person get out of the car.

This all reminds me - I need to write a quick note to the SVX owner across the street from my office. We're going to move offices in a few months, so I should really do that before I leave.

Just a car? How is this posible? They'll realize it's not just a car when the traney goes out to the tune of $3500, what kind of nut job would put a $3500 traney in a $3500 "just a car", but if it's in an SVX that's a whole nother story!

out of al the encounters ive had with fellow owners, only 1 gave a damn.
ive spotted around 16 to date, tried to meet 7 of them in some fashion, and they either ignore me or run away.

this one guy a few days ago just looked at me an walked off after i pulled up.
then i looked at his x.
didnt look like he cared for it much. made me sad.
then we got out of the store about the same time and he made a quick getaway. seriously he peeled out of there like a mug.

Well, maybe they see a half crazed person running towards them and decide to flee for their lives?

I Chased one in my Jeep last year... That's how my Jeep got the name "Stalker"... But it got sold... ... And I was in Greensboro, NC over Christmas leave and saw one (Green) down by Wendover... Again I go into Chase mode and pull a sliding u-turn... (Hehehe good thing there were no cops around) I proceed to speed through traffic doing about 60 in a 35 to try and catch up... But apparently whoever it was turnned off before I could get through all the bloody holiday drivers!!!! Inconsiderate kunts!!! I was trying to meet a fellow SVXer and they were all in my way!!!

Anyway, I might have scared him/her off with my u-turn.... (I'm talking about a handbrake u-turn accross a 4 lane rd.... Hehe What fun!!!)
