which replacement bearings for better bearing life? same for brake rotors?
Me again ('oh no, it's the new guy').
Whic bearings would you recommend to replace the stock ones when they give out? Is there an alternative with better life? How long do the stock bearings last on a 92 LSL for a drive who does... - light granny driving - moderate (commuter: freeway and city) - hard driving -- sport billy: hard on corners fast out of the blocks and late hard braking? - maniac? Also, same for brake rotors to replace them when they warp... Any ideas on ball-park pricing for each? what a splendid vehicle cheers Rich |

Whichever bearings you buy, they're all made by NTN, no matter what the brand they are marked. They're all the same.

As far as how long do they last. The more agressive a driver you are, and the more you put your car through, the sooner you will have to replace them.

Installation also plays a big part in the duration of their life. Dont get them installed by Lancaster County Motors Subaru!

$80-90 for the bearing itself, $300 for the labor+bearing.
Don't expect bearings to fail immediately upon you. Mine only had one replaced more than 70k miles ago. The car is now at 168k... |

from experience not in the svx, drifting is very very bad for bearings
so if you drive like a maniace but immense sideways stress on the wheels the bearings will die very quickly
