Cool To paint, or not to paint, that is the question

Im getting ready to Paint the old SVX, WRX blue with gold flake then store it for a few months till the weather clears. So I have a decision to make, and I thought I'd ask you all for some advice, Rather or not to paint the roof or leave it black to give the illusion of the all glass roof.
I'm planning to install a carbon fiber hood someday(like 6months -1 year)so I thought it might look cool to leave it black. The paint on the roof is mint.
So tell me what you think help me decide.

I'm assuming leave it meant leaving the roof black. I think it would look good with a carbon fiber hood and black roof and trunk over WR blue. Post some photos when you are done.

Nah paint it and the hood. I think the ricers running around with the black hoods look cheesy. But that's just my opinion. Even if you leave the roof black I'd still paint the hood.

I agree, as long as you're asking

Only paint it if you have a ton of $ saved up so that you can do a REALLY GOOD job. I've seen too many cars with bad paintjobs..ugh...

I'd rather have beat up original paint than cheap badly applied new paint.

there was a picture that someone had that had a pearly with a black carbon fiber hood. it looked pretty tacky, black cabin and windows with the black hood on pearly. i'd say leave the cabin black and paint the hood. looks better that way in my opinion.

I hate to have to say it but "Rob is right"

Keep the black roof and paint the hood blue. Should look nice.

Thumbs up great paint lots of time

My paint is House of Kolor so there won't be any problems with it coming off and It's being applied in my paint booth so I dont think It'll be a quick Job either. I buffed out the roof today and noticed a few deep scratches so now it's a matter of painting the roof blue or black. If I paint it black I'll also add the gold flake. I'm also considering Black with Gold flake over the whole car but not likely Way to hard to keep clean.

Cool C/F Hood

As far as the Carbon Fiber hood goes. Painting that is out of the Question. I'm not going to pay 6 bills to get that awsome mesh look just to cover it up with paint. I could care less about the weight reduction I'm not autocrossing here. I'm all flash with this car. I got a Hyabusa If I wana go fast Well It's real flashy too but............. If anybody wants to race I'm game.

If I had the money

I'd get my car done all black and then add a carbon fiber hood, front bumper splitters, clear headlights and corners, and Alycone rear light.

okay... the CF mesh look... not awesome.

altho it's obvious that you want flash or you wouldn't add gold flake...

paint the roof black, paint the trunk black
paint the CF hood or don't get one
