I talked with Mike just now..... and he says to tell everyone that he's gone into hiding because his touch is a tranny jinx...
He must go to a Tibetan monastery to be cleansed of the gremlin....
He just might return before the end of the year.......

Everyone and their car should send a prayer message east to help Mike on his journey.

Let's hope that the tranny getting him to his spiritual destination does not seize as every other that he's touched.

If anyone would like to assist Mike along his journey, your messages can be directed to 724-992-0800.
(Mike's really bored, please call)

I spoke with Mike about an hour ago. I can confirm that he's bored out of his mind (direct quote). A ten inch TV, with a few DVD's (all of which he's seen numerous times). No phone service, no internet . . . what torture this must be for a techno-savvy (addicted) and well-dressed young man.

They will be embarking tomorrow, via their rented Trail Blazer (I expressed my concern that they may have put them in a Neon), toward home. They have a time-table in place and will reach St. Louis sometime tomorrow, late afternoon or evening -- I'd encourage our contingent there to call Mike's phone number (shown above) and set up a time to meet them for encouragement. The same with all along the route. He seemed disappointed that no one has called him since his number was posted (I already had it programmed into my phone, so, I gave him a call).

An adventure, indeed. Keep him in mind and in prayer (along with his friend, who's need spawned this adventure) as they travel toward home.

Keep the faith, Mike! 'sall good!

I just talked to Mike. He is feeling better and they are heading home. They are expecting that trail blazer's tranny to die when they reach home though. He is now laughing a little so I guess that's good.

Good luck Mike ( I know you can't see this but still....)

NO!!! He's my best friend!!!!!!

Anyway..... just talked to Mike. It's a bit after 8:30 mountain time... they are just leaving St Louis, planning on driving straight through, so they'll be home sometime tomorrow. So far so good with the rental. Maybe the jinx is broken?

Can't wait to see what Mike has to post himself once he does get home. Luckily they got out of Colorado ahead of the storm front.

Scott and I arrived home safely in Slippery Rock this morning after 23 hours of straight-through driving. We're about to head out to the mall to do some last minute holiday shopping, but I'll post the whole story tonight when we return! Thanks everyone for your emotional support!

Mike
