power for alarm

i seem to have no power going through my remote keyless entry. when i opened it up their was a log of batteries. if i want to replace them do i have to buy a lot of batteries or do they come in a packaged deal that i have to buy from the dealership.
thanks

It took me a couple of seconds to figure out what you meant by 'log of batteries.'

Radio Shack sells a single replacement battery for the eight stupid button cells that come in the remotes. They come in a package of two for a couple bucks. I don't remember the part number, but it's exactly the same size as the eight button cells.

If you reall want, you can replace those eight button cells (driving yourself nuts trying to get them in, I imagine) for about $15 a remote.

Are you sure it's your remote? I mean... looking at your other post here , I would say that you've more than likely got problems with the car's electrical system you might want to sort out first.

Just my 2c.

thanks ill try to get some batteries first. i think that my electrical problems were just a fluke as it has not happened more than a once since that cold spell. my remote has always acted up ever since i got it. but know instead of me haveing to push it a couple of times before it works it just stopped.
thanks

The single replacement battery is a GP27A or equivalent. Don't know the RS Part #, but if you give them that number, they can cross reference it for you.
