Re: The official what have you done to your SVX thread

Why sell it. Just fix what is wrong with it, and get it back on the road.

That's maybe for another thread. In short: my interests have changed, my free time is much more precious and not driving the car is really the same as letting it die.

As much as I love the car, and I do love it, I'm just not as interested in preserving this one car as I used to be. Some people are, and hopefully, if I decide to sell it, the car can find its way to one of those people.

Re: The official what have you done to your SVX thread

The copious amounts of salt that the City of Omaha decides they need to throw on the roads everytime it snows frustrates me more than anything...so today I decided to take my SVX to the car wash. I always prefer to do the washing myself, but I had a gift card to a nearby full-service car wash and figured I might as well use it now.

Sadly, after only a 5 minute drive home she's dirty again from the wet streets...but at least the salt is gone!

Keeping an eye on her as one of the employees drove her through the wash:

Call me crazy, but I always keep a close watch when I let other people handle my car due to my terrible experience with the shipping company who delivered my car a little over a year ago

Yesterday, I dug her out of her 55" snowdrift for her weekly start up.

Dug more so I could move her back a foot. been 2 weeks since shes moved.

Then it snowed another 18" yesterday...JOY!

I'm giving it back to the dealership I bought it from. My return to ownership lasted all of 11 days, and thanks to my car being at the transmission shop for almost 2 months, I'm most likely parting ways, since people can't seem to do their jobs, and I'm never around and in town to babysit grown adults.
