Funny EBay Ad

I just found this ad for the SVX humorous:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1852999707

The big joke is in these words "Installation time is approximately 10 minutes."

Heh I would pay the guy $25 just to see him try to get my ECU out without taking a crowbar to my dash, install the chip and replace it in under 10min. If he could i would darned impressed.

Ryan

I have changed 3 wheels (yes take them off and put them on) from 2 SVXes in 15 minutes using one jack. Does that count as fast?

As for the 10 min install for the ECU, hahahaha

Read carefully... Nothing in there mentions a modification to the ECU... It's LIKE a mod to the ECU, but probably the same junk someone was pawning off on eBay about "modding" the O2 sensors or something. In this case, maybe a mod to the MAF?

Who knows?

Whatever it is, it's probably equivalent to oil of serpents.

I sent an email to the seller asking exactly what his product was. I also asked for a picture. I'll post if I get an answer.

I didn't get a reply but much of his feedback on the item is negative. One even say something like it is a resistor and roll of tape. Just curious, what would one do with an extra resistor???

The resistor, when hooked in series with the sensor will effectively alter the readings. I'm fine with my accurate readings. I'm not going to alter anything on my car to try to fool either the ECU or TCU (with the possible exception of a 5spd). I simply can't afford it.

There's another one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...tem=1853561712 . Says it's some intake temp sensor mod. Claims +15 hp. Near impossible outside of a turbo or something??? Right
