PMs public posts, and overall support.
Going with the masses on this one.
Every member that emailed me, PMed me, and posted opposition are long time standing members that have made this place a success. Their status and support are genuine and true to the growth and success of a better place to go for information on owning a Subaru SVX. The support for the hotbox forum area was there, but the opposition was more than 10:1 against. The forum will be deleted and people are still reminded to keep their posts sane on this entire board.

I think this is a good call too. I think that if members get used to slamming each other in the Hot Box, it may carry out into the other forums. No, we will not tolerate it, but it may heat things up anyway. I agree with the decision.

What I think would be hilarious, and beneficial, is devising a way that obnoxious posts would only be visible to the poster. That way it would appear that nobody cared enough to respond to their inane, cretinous post.
Of course, we would all need to agree on a judge...

My problem is that I do not like to see members blatantly given incorrect advice, which could adversely affect them; the error not be accepted by the instigator, to be continually reiterated, even though that stated is proven wrong.
In these instances strong words are called for.
