Talking 5 sp finally finished

After a few months I finally got 2 weekends together to work on my conversion. The 5sp works great!!! I got a 5sp from a 92 legacy and all the parts. All works as advertised. The only thing is no speedo? I'll have to look in to that problem. Huck's how to was right on the money!! Thanks for the help. I have only put about 10 miles on the completed project. I hope to have some digital pictures up soon. No hard driving yet, Just a little cruise. After I check to see if anything is comming loose I will try some real driving. That is what this is all about! I came out with about $900 in my swap - the clutch. What tires work best with the stock setup? Thanks again for the good help when I had questions.

Rob,

92- SVXLSL 5-SP YEA!
95- Dodge Ram
71- Buick Skylark Convertable

PS If I can pass on any info I will be glad to Just e-mail me at r5sims@pacer.com

hey huck, how is your 5 speed holding up. Seams like yours should be broken in. Anything to report?

$900?

Man... I need a new transmission and i cant afford the $3000 - 4000 to get it replaced. $900 i can afford but unfortunetly i am not experienced enough to do the installation myself. And i cant imagine labor being very cheap... that is if i could even find someone in my area that could do it. If i dont figure something out soon, i will have to sell my SVX.
Anyway, sorry to bore you all with my problems

Paul

Everything still works just like the day I got it finished, still running the cheap clutch, still can't launch it hard without smoking the clutch, but once it finally burns completely up I'll put a good clutch in so I can play a little harder with it.
I don't plan on rushing the clutch's demise, as I'm in no hurry to crawl back under her.

It's already outlasted the last auto I put in her
