Help Asap
How do I get my crank sprocket off??? I keep hearing about this 1/2 moon key but I cant see it.

The "half moon" (Woodruff) key holds the sprocket to the shaft. It is embedded halfway into the shaft as I recall. memory is a little fuzzy.
I took mine off with a gear puller. It took a great deal of force and broke the sprocket in the process, which had to be replaced.

Normally, you can just remove the key or slide the sproket out and then remove the key. If you can't see it, then it is probably broken and half of it is stuck inside. We tried a gear puller on Halistan's SVX when his crank pulley bolt came loose and broke the key, but it wouldn't budge. From other accounts I've read here, I'd guess cutting the old one off with a dremel and replacing with a new one would be the safest bet to not damage anything else.
