Yep, you have to jumper 2 wires on it, to "Unlock" the key from the column, so the key will come out.

The "in-gear" wires on the tranny are a safety feature and it's not hard to wire them into the circuit. It's good to have in case you bump the shifter out of gear while in cruise or accidentally hit the cruise lever while coasting.

I never had to make a jumper for the ignition lock. I always disconnected the shift lock module and never had to use a jumper. The key would always come out.

Speaking of which, it's the opposite of what's in your guide, I just never got around to telling you. It's the two inside wires, not the outside ones

You guys kick a$$ thanks for all the input Im going to try and finish this weekend if the guy can turn my flywheel and extend my drive shaft by the weekend. I measured the trannys I think they are 2 and 1/4 difference..ill probably just tell him to do 2 and 1/8 on the shaft.

Thanks Tom, I found some kind of pin in my toolbox that just happen to fit like it was made for it..just gotta put a hole in it and a cotter pin with a washer. Props for hookin me up with SVX files. I gotta a good driveshaft on the way for 90 shipped. and i found an axle nut in my toolbox too. I broke one of my ft axles trying to yank the auto out. but i had a couple from the parts car I had but the nut was bigger?? I dont think the svx vss will fit the 04 wrx they are different in lenght and the 5mt has an oring on it. the guy who pulled it broke it off and "fixed it". I really need a trans jack .

I cant take the suspence anymore..

the wrx box wll accept the SVX speed sensor, unless you have a one of a knd transmission, which I doubt. The svx has a seal at the bottom of the sensor as well
