long time no see.....

I know I am a blaspheamer(sp?.)...but some of you may know that I gave up my beloved SVX for a six speed 99'black vette! (same color as my dearly departed SVX)

Just to let you guys know, I still dream of the SVX...except with the hp of the vette ..and still check in from time to time.

I'm currently in NY city if there is any meets coming to my area! I would love to come just to say hi!

thanks

long live the SVX!!!!

Jim, thanks for not being a stranger. Enjoy your 'Vette, but don't forget us SVXers (as if you could ).

Take good care.

Nice of you to drop by Jim. Expect if you become an svxaholic, you are hooked. In recovery, taking one day at a time.

How is the Vette? Is it stock, or have you tuned it up any?

Joe

well,

just as this forum bug bit me with the svx, corvetteforum.com did the same again. I've only had the car since january, havent put more than 3,000mi on it and already modified the man. shift unit, done some timing reprograming, coolant re-routing, and this week I will be receiving my new high flow "Blackwing" intake by donaldson.

the money is flying out of my pocket as fast as i earn it, but the summer is coming and it will be great!

thanks

Sounds cool.

those things already got too much power, so keep it between the hedges with the wheels pointing at the ground!

Always had a thing for one of the modern Vettes, but I am pretty sure the SVX handles our Irish bumpy roads a lot better in the suspension dept. That's the trade-off, comfort for power.

You are correct, the vette seems to bounce and skip a bit on bumps in the turns. I said it before, the vette is a beast. What I gave up in creature comforts, like the interior, I traded for raw horsepower. Luckily, with my job, It is not the daily driver so I can cope.

And, svxistentialist I envy you for your beautiful contry. I am currently planning a holiday next summer for a week to finally visit my roots, Ireland. I will finally get to try a true pint of Irelands' finest.... in Ireland!

thanks

That's great news Jim.

The countryside really is beautiful. We take a lot of short breaks here at home ourselves, it is good for the soul.

Don't forget to give me a PM or email when you are coming, we can have a pint in Dublin, love to meet a fellow SVXer.
