Unbelievable! I think the suspension work may have to be back-burnered... my transmission blew yesterday. Its at my mechanic's shop right now for the final verdict!

The 5spd would be a lot of fun, but would the 4.44 swap be the most economical? I just got the call back from my mechanic, the trans is def. toast! So... I guess I am in the market for a transmission now. I understand that the 4.11 or 4.44 swap is usually a lot cheaper than another SVX transmission. Is that true? and does anyone know of someone who may be selling the parts I'd need?

Contact svxfiles about how the 4.11/4.44 compare. He might also be able to source you a trans and rear. I will do a little looking as well but I have another customer right now that is consuming much of my free time
