i dunno, but i poked the button a few more times and reprogrammed it 2-3 times and it's working again along with the new remote. i'm not complaining.

light still doesn't light up though for the security button, but who cares? :P

those slim line keyless entry remote substitutes for the stock stereo rocks. better range, lighter, and not as easily damaged as the old one.
