Benebob!

Hey. I havn't hear much about the Racer lately. you got a web site or something to update your followers? It's your fault I got a bunch of Datsuns laying around now. I go to one event with you and now I'm trying to put together a car. I thinking the 240Z will be nasty if I manage to get the frame and floorboards replaced. Sadly the rust is the only thing holdig me back. The I got the engine going and it already as new tires on it(previous owner put them on). I hoping the little 240 with it's light weight, RWD and straight 6 will be a good car to start with.

Check the sig. Next race is the 24th in Lanc, PA, followed by the gathering of SVXers at Cumberland Airport in Cumberland Md on the 31st and then Aug 7th at the Farm Show building in Hbg Pa for states.

Currently the car is on jack stands with a new awd tranny sitting in it and somewhat bolted to the engine in spots.

Also has som H&R springs front and back with about 200lbs of spring to 'em, koni up front, cobbled rear struts, race seat and harness lying on the tranny tunnel and a weird coolant issue left to deal with.

Good news though, it'll make the 24th. Would be working on it now but it is too freaking HOT!

How are those projects of yours coming along? Would love to see ya at a future event again! Oh yeah, we also now have official Subie tech shirts for our pit crew to wear!

Not the later 240sx but the original z. 2.4 liter straight 6 good for 150hp I think. Same engine used up until at least the 90s Z I think.

I did see a 240sx that had a RB26DETT swopped into it once. Made an impressive 9 second drag car.

sorry nope. An inline 6 was used in the z's from the 240 to the 280, i believe these were just called teh 2400, 2600, and 2800 respectively. The vg30e(t) was then used in the 84-89's the v30de(t), d stands for dual overhead cam, was used in the 90-99's (they stopped shipping them here in 96 kept producing till 99) and the vq is now used in the 350's. If anyone cared.

If anyone caught my mistake, its early leave me alone, sorry about the edit.

Not showing, racing. Look at our website and calendar for the day for details if ya want. No idea on times as it is based on numbers of participants.

The 280z was built well into the late 80's. They were producing both the 280s and 300s for a couple of years. The 280s even got a turbo in the last couple of years. the model number denotes displacement. ie 240Z = 2.4L straight 6, 260Z = 2.6L Straight-6, 300Z = 3.0L V-6

Also 240SX is 2.4L inline-4

240sx

Hey Jesse, The 240SX is now the "RONMOBILE" He claims he only paid $500.00 for it but I think its a kit car from Ronco, the guys on TV that sell rotisseries and stuff like that. If his 240SX smells like BBQ I'm on the right track. Take care, BOBB
