Interesting SVX Converstaion & Sighting

Rosie & I went out to eat Satuday night. We wound up at a sports bar/tavern by the name of Timothy's on Wilmington's refurbished waterfront.
We were dressed casually, wearing our SVX shirts. We were seated by the hostes, and the waitress approached us to get our drink order. She was a nice young lady by the name of Catherine. The minute she saw the SVX logos on our shirts she said, "What year & color SVX do you have?" We were both schocked that someone even knew what an SVX was. We expalined that we have three and the model years and colors. She said that she grew up in Pittsburg and had a '92 pearly. She also said that she loved that car and that she was sorry to part with it and that she was probaly going to get another. She said that now she drives a VW Jetta and thinks it is a POS compared to the SVX. she said that her '92 pearly had a little chip in the driver's plastic headhead cover just as it wraps around to the side of the car. I explained that my '92 has a chip right there as she described it. We speculated that I could have her SVX. She was the original owner. She promised to get me the VIN number. I gave her a Network windshield note with our names and phone no. If 'SVXY' was her car, that would be amazing.

Yesterday (Father's Day), we were in our '94 SVX 'Pearly', and spotted a pearl SVX on rte. 202 in Wilm., DE. at approx. 10:30 AM.
We were both stopped at the red light at the intersection of rtes. 202 & 141.
We were going northbound and he was headed southbound. We flashed our lights at each other and waved when the light changed to green.
Is it someone who is a Network member?

I ran into my 95's original owner at a local meet last year. That was wild. He traded it in for a 97 when they came out and has had that car ever since. I took a few pictures of us togther with my car. He was happy to see it in good shape and obviously being enjoyed Very cool.

Very cool Larry. I would love to catch up with the origonal owner of my ebony... and ask how the heck did they keep the interior so clean yet allow the exterior to be beat to crap. I don't understand that

What are the odds of that happening! Very cool encounter. Can't wait to see if it really was her car.

Not to speak ill of the dead or anything but your last couple posts I've read have scared me now. First, you wanted someone to "take out" your wife in atlanta. Now you tell us your cars previous owner is dead, all with your avatar holding a pocket knife. Might wanna play nice to Jesse from now on.
