TPS affect shift points?

I put in a new TPS sensor, and I've noticed it shifts at 6100-6300 from 1st -2nd. I can't remember if it did this before or not.... would tweaking the 'angle' of the TPS sensor raise it a tiny bit?

Thanks!

The best way to set the TPS is to do it with a volt meter. There is a write-up in the How To locker and YES the TPS effects the shift points. You may want to reset the computer after it's set right.

Good news: This could just be a human perception error, but the car feels a LOT more responsive... much much more ready to get up and go from a standstill. I adjusted it to .53, it was at .34. :\

Bad news: Still shifts between 6100-6300.... I thought it was supposed to shift at 6500? If I disconnected the battery overnight would that help?

TIA

The shift points are decided by the TCU based on the throttle position and the road speed. Different wheels or tyres can affect the shift points.

The last resort shift, to save the engine from over revving, is picked from the engine RPM .
