Bearing experiment
My dad just got his SVX and has already changed one rear bearing and will be changing the 2nd bearing very soon.
The first one was changed at a former dealership. He's going to change this one himself...HIS WAY. At Reading 5 they were having an indepth discussion about bearings. He's been a mechanic his whole life and he says he has a proper way to change tapered bearings (not specific to the SVX). This will be a good experiment because, with both bearings being new we will know if the Subaru method or his method are more effective. He did mention to me an aftermarket bearing he got locally but it must have been the last one in the country. I'll have to ask him the manufacturer. (Possibly just a distributer for NTN)

Are you going to describe his method, or are you just going to keep teasing us?

if you or he can make a write-up on how to change our bearings with his method along with some pictures, that'll be a wonderful info to us if we need to do some bearings replacement next time.
