The trick
For months now we have had discussion of throttle response, power mode, and the IRIS system.
So, after playing around a bit over time, putting two and 2 together, I think there is a definite technique to getting that rocket launch, say for example if you want to drag the X with the auto. Here's what we know: 1) Just mashing the throttle does not make the best use of power 2) Power mode engages at any throttle position 3) IRIS splits the power band in half with it's weird thingy it does which I'd rather not attempt to explain. Here's what I found out over time: 1) Hitting the thottle about halfway will squeal tires (awd), while full throttle from a stop normaly won't. 2) After 3500 rpm, thottle speed depression is irrellevant. The trick: From a stop, left foot on the brake (for better RT, no pre-torquing! it doesn't work), engage power mode (while letting off the brake) with the throttle half way until you reach about 3600 rpm, then slowly depress the pedal as rpms rise. Hold through second and most of third as the race wil be over long before 4th gear hits. C&C please.

I found the "got longassname's ecu chip" method to leave a huge smile on my face every time.
