BTW Tom: I wanted to come out and maybe race you in good fun. Just before going to the garage and changing my tires out, I checked out the Atco Raceway site. They are still going to do the Ford vs Buick runs tomorrow. That sucks! Today would have been a perfect day to run.
Crap, it would have been... Too bad. I will still go for a couple runs at very least

Re: EM Solution

Ok, got some news today at the track...

The Nemesis has effectively dropped my best time w/ ECUtune's software by a whole second in the 1/4 mile and raised my ET by 10mph.

Kirill (sov13t) also did some testing in his 6mt for me. First time ever drag racing so the results could be easily claimed as bogus... but I will post them anyway. First run was blown by nerves and a serious burnout on the line. Second run was decent, albeit slow, at 15.5. For the third and final run of the day we hooked the stock ECU back up as he matched his 60' times we saw the ET jump up to 16.6. I would love to say that the Nemesis on a stock car would give you an entire second off your ET's but thats might be overzealous. I would make the case that it has very strong potential to take .5 seconds off the ET easily w/ the base maps and a very possible full second w/ a good tune.

They are all numbers, but they are a start.

Tom

Jaw dropping info Tom! Congrats!!

Sorry I did not make it out. I hate going to an Atco even with a bunch of domestics spilling oil all over the tracks (Buick vs Ford). Otherwise, I would have came out. (I actually forgot I was going to pick up a Maf sensor from you **what an idiot I am**).

This is really good news. I like how you are taking this at face value and not conclusive but it is a start. At least the 'start' is in a positive direction. I hope the best for you and hope that further testing supports the 1 second drop in your 1/4 mile time. I believe your results to be conclusive. The only reason why I say this is not by your 1/4 mile time but your trap speed. Even with a fluke test, your trap speed usually does not change by a whole 10mph. Unless there was a huge misstep in shifting gears or something. Really exciting news!

And what Bill says above. dyno, Dyno, DYNO.... I want to be there when this happens as well. I am a dyno crack junkie and get goose bumps just seeing the trends.

Great news Tom! You'll find, I'm sure, that this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Let the power-making begin...

Re: EM Solution

Tom,

What setup were you running for that 12.99 run? If you already posted it, I must have missed it (very possible; my brain doesn't wake up until either a full SPIKE or after noon).

Also, congrats on the quickest SVX out there!

He should check the "straight line performance" thread or the NASIOC thread.

Puleeze! Isn't the poster from the area that claims to have the only twin turbo charged SVX in captivity?

I thought there was someone on the SVX Network from Utah that has been claiming that there is a twin turbo SVX in Utah (no pics to date). I thought the guy who posted on NASIOC is from the region that includes Utah (?).
-Bill

p.s. found it -- post #6 in this thread (my bad - Montana, not Utah!) http://www.subaru-svx.net/forum/show...ght=twin+turbo

Re: EM Solution

Awesome news! Is soviet running the map with the temp sensor? What's a list of things someone would want to upgrade on their motor in order to get the most out of the base maps and running N/A?? Upgraded fuel pump or injectors??

Even with the base maps adding extra fuel, you are really only using 3/4 of the injectors capabilities. Honestly this topic can go on for days, try starting a seperate thread or doing a search to try and keep it on topic
