Fantastic Mod for '92 SVXers

I swapped out my wood trim with that from the later model svx's. It looks AMAZING! See pics below:

After (97 Wood):

Can't Completely Agree...

w/Thawa. No, it doesn't look like Jag or Mercedes wood, but it's definitely a MAJOR improvement. The stock '92 trim's too dark and cheap looking. I'll bet the new interior trim looks even better in person. It really brightens the interior and makes it a little warmer environment. Looks at least as nice as most of the Japanese wood trim I've seen...they don't quite get the warmth of English real wood trim. Real Japanese wood often looks a little 'plasticky' except on top of the line late '90's and newer cars. If getting later model dash trim isn't too expensive I'd like to do this to my '92. Very handsome.

I'll have to disagree. I like the later look -- the dot pattern is much more pronounced in the '92, plus, there's too much "purple." At least the later models had the "color" of wood.

Nice. Although, as soon as I figure out a good way to preserve the climate control labels, I'm gonna paint mine black...

the L model trim is ok, but I like my 94 witht he brighter wood and tan interior better than the L model. It fits that car better, give it more of a luxury apeal. The grey would look good with a black trim to be honest, but that all depends on the exterior color as well.

I agree. I have an L with the grey dash. Looks great with grey leather!

Nice mod, definitely an improvement to the dash.
