Re: Memory dump of ECU
Ok I was able to DL the ROM using the new software Phil posted... BUT i have no way of opening it. I also went ahead and dowloaded the Evoscan and purchased their cable considering I cannot use the com1 port for some reason It will only allow me to use their cable?? Has anyone else tried using this program yet??

Re: Memory dump of ECU
Ok i did some searching on RomRaider's forum and dug up Upnorth's old posts. I was able to load his 92 dump and your 92 dump. I am still unable to load the 94 dump from your site or the dump I took off a 94 here today... Says the ROM definition is not found. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Good work! Please email me the ROM you downloaded and I'll have a look and see why it's not opening. I'll PM you my email address.

Re: Memory dump of ECU
Thanks Phil, been waiting on a VERY late delivery for the last couple days and figured I would jump on board while I have the spare time... Problem is, now you have really caught my interest, so lets see where this takes us

Re: Memory dump of ECU
I had a look at the ROM file.
I've been working with 64K files, so that the addresses match up properly in the disassembly. I wrote the Enginuity/Rom Raider definitions on that basis and I should really fix them to work with the 32K files from the Snowmobile program. The temporary solution is to preprend 32K of anything to the start of the file, or just copy the file after itself. In Windows, open CMD.EXE and type Code:
copy /b HEXDUMP.HEX + HEXDUMP.HEX NEW.HEX

Re: Memory dump of ECU
got the returned file to Open in RomRaider no problem... Looks like there are absolutely no differences in graphs when comparing the 92 ECU to the 94 I dumped

I have two spare adapter boards to sell at cost price. But I need to go back and check my records to see what they cost me.

Re: Memory dump of ECU
Got the EvoScan cable and software. Fired everything up and seems to com well, but addresses(request) seems wrong--rpm not htere, batt shows 20 all the time, speedo is on 20 and coolant is -41C. Can not get much else. Not real sure how to use, but did notice each line is able to be edited. I am guessing i need correct requests--can anyone help me out??? It returns ECU 742522. Here are requests that are there with function:

Re: Memory dump of ECU
Put in addresses ----works great!!!!!! Not sure if the calculations are right for temp and speed---I tried to set them for degF and mph instead of degC and kph. LOL think my calc is wrong---what should i use?? Thank you so very much for the help. Also on side note---the O2 left is running bout twice the mV of the right---one bad??? kevin

If Hamish does send you the addresses, please post there here so we can compare them with my list. That would be a great help with the project. Phil.

The formula for deg C is N-50. Fahrenheit = C*9/5+32 so the formula is (N-50)*9/5+32 which simplifies to (9N-290)/5 With regard to the O2 sensor, I see three possibilities: 1) The address I gave you could be wrong, double check it against the address that Hamish sends. 2) The O2 sensor could be faulty, switch the two sensors around and see if the problem swaps sides. 3) One side of your engine could be running bad. Someone who knows more about engines than me can advise you on that.
