More K-Staff parts

Check out K-staff.net. Now they have more than just the front bumper cover. The Bilstein suspension with Tein springs looks pretty sweet! If anyone can read Japanese, what are those other parts? Babelfish doesn't want to translate it for me.

Upgraded radiator with upgraded ATF cooler that cools 'twice as good as OEM'.

When I visited K-Staff, they told me over and over again that JDM SVX transmissions did not suffer from the overheating problems of the US model. So why are they now offering a better ATF cooler?

If JDM SVXes and USDM SVXes are made from the same factory and from the same line, howcome they don't have tranny overheating problem? Out of 15,000 made, 12 of them are sent to N. America right? Are they saying they have special trannies in those 3000 SVXes? I know you guys get the FWS and such but now trannies too?

The transmissions in the JDM svx's ARE very different. They use a totally different center diff design among other things.

That's nice to know. Why did they not make all the same? Do JDM trannies cost more?

But they still fail due to overheating. And Subaru only offers a 12mth warranty on a rebuilt transmission here unlike the 24mth warranty in the US.

The JDM trannies split torque differently and make the car more RWD with front assist. This is compared to the US-market trannies, which make the SVX more FWD with rear assist.

Still, it's not the most conservative AWD system out there. I can still get the back end of my SVX to step out. Some other manufacturer's AWD cars understeer in every stinking situation, no matter what.

Mine Stepped out in the rain yesterday... Cought me completly by supprise and my "CS" light nearly came on!!!! Recovered good though and pulled off on the next exit and walked around for a few seconds.... It was that "snap oversteer" that the SVX is terrible for at the edge of it's cornering limit... Ya just really don't expect it!!! It happens so suddenly... I know how ya felt at the Dragon Harry!!!

Yep, that's the part I'm most pleased with about the Koni/GC kit... no more snap, just neutral slide at the limit.
