Wiring upgrade for high wattage headlights?

What is the highest wattage lamps that the stock wiring can handle? I am considering upgrading to 85 watt low beams and 100 watt high beams but am concerned about cooking the wires.

So far I've been running 100W fogs and 85W dims and no cooked wires. *knock on wood*

Hi Mattski, I use 100 watt high beam, standard low. The wiring is OK, though you will have to replace the high beam relay in the fuse box. I put in a 22 amp replacement.

The other point to watch is that the reflectors are plastic so the heat from the higher wattage can cook, burn, melt the refelector. The reasion why I did not use, higher wattage low beam, When the highs are on, the car is moving fast and cooling is enought.
