Re: stupid tow trucks

Omg you can bet I would in a heartbeat.

Id be all like: "You messed up my suspension! I had an aftermarket rear sway bar and now it's oem! The car was lowered and now it's stock height again! I had a fiberglass hood with a scoop and now the stock one is back! I had window tint but now it fell off! My car didn't have this rusty rear quarter panel dent and now it does! My ps rack leaks now and my engine isn't rebuilt anymore! I had a 5 speed and now it's stock auto!! Wtf did you do to my car!?"

Re: stupid tow trucks

What were the circumstances for it getting towed? If it was at your request, you can have them fix it. If it was towed for being improperly parked, you are SOL.

Re: stupid tow trucks

Me guesses since he states "recovered it", the car was impounded.

It would be a hard case to win in small claims

Any damage done to a vehicle towed improperly parked is not their responsibility unless its body damage or something major. For a strut, I doubt they'll do anything. Even if it were towed with the rear wheels on the ground, due to the circumstances of it being towed, most of the time they will just say that it is your responsibility to have the car parked correctly.
