I respond with the question, who doesn't have their many unsaid reasons for doing anything?

It was a bluff anyway, I have yet to make up any reason for the poll. I'm just interested in numbers.

I'm not really looking for an all-inclusive definition of anything. I have my own definitions that probably won't change. I just wanted to see if anyone had anything intelligent to say on the topic and it went in a completely different direction that I wanted, but that was the suspected outcome. Instead of a mostly serious discussion, I get this, and I get labeled as an emo teenager.

So it is.

Yes it was a total and complete failure. A huge waste of time.

I think we should now have a dumbest thread CONTEST, and go around qualifying other threads to see which one is the MOST dumbest thread ever.

As a SUCESSFUl teenager-raiser, I THOUGHT that you would LIKE my input.

I am not an english major, I don't really care if all my words are spelled korektly!! The message is the same! That doesn't matter anyway.

The message is, there is no way to put teens in a box and say that THIS is what they are! All I can 'judge' by is what 'everyone else 'has to deal with and reflect on the problems that I had!!

Thank GOD for the 4 that came from my/our efforts!!

Is that a really hard concept to grasp??

The way you arrange your words is difficult for me to understand all at once (like right now I can't tell if you're yelling at me or not), though you are usually right and have great valid things to say, as I have previously mentioned.

Tom, thanks for bringing over what I said in the chat. Another thing that I said in this thread is there are many unspoken reasons behind most of our actions.
While I would like very much to have "arguments" with people who are willing to reciprocate, I do not feel I have failed at anything. I have learned quite a bit about some of you guys in the past few days and as I mentioned elsewhere, I am always on the prowl for knowledge, whether it's through a book, random internet searches, TV, or seemingly rude interactions with people I barely know.

Life is an experiment, do something different for a change. Challenge the status quo.

My man!

Life is too short for accepting everything they throw your way.

Don't buy Wrangler jeans or Nike gear! Dance on your iPod!!

Buttt!!!!

Try not to tilt at too many windmills. Don't challenge just for the sake of challenge, because the status quo is very often right.

And if you are going to be a rebel, then be a rebel with a cause. True rebels only arm against a wrongdoing, or they fight to get out from under oppression.

So if you take a stance against something, or in favor of something, be sure you have assessed all the facts, and make rigorous evaluation based on logic, not half cocked emotion.

I'm a biker, and most of the bikers I meet make snide remarks about my pale grey biker boots. Not black enough. Not macho enough.

In the true Southern spirit I take a rebel stance in this.

Joe

You got that in one, Tom.

At my age I shouldn't even be talking about peer pressure.

It's only because of the eternal teenager in me I even mention it.

At all.

I guess it's a REDNECK thing with the way the words are arranged.

Also, I do not care to YELL ever again, unless I'm at a football game.

I tried to pass on some 'sage' advise. My 'youngest' tried to give a 'teen' outlook, so you could see from the demographic that you were asking about.

I did not prompt her, she read the post and jumped in.

( She looks over my sholder a lot)

Not one comment on HER post! She was the ONLY one from that age group that responded!

You use a lot of exclamations. I'm a soft-spoken person who mumbles so anything that is above library level is yelling to me, but what I meant is I wasn't sure if you were cross about something I had said.

I had no idea that anyone other than you was using your account. I'm still not sure in which post this happened.
I will give another look.

--
My mistake! Yes, it seems she has her own account. I did see it, but I did not feel a need to respond as I felt she was speaking to you.
I wholeheartedly disagree with her about the violence and GTA bit.
I could never blame problematic kids on entertainment media.
Even if I could, it's the parents who should be controlling that media to the best of their ability.

I look out for my kids!! She did that on her own, though.

She also has (2) subarus. A 1990 Legacy 4 dr and the Silver 92 SVX.
