that is outright disturbing and sad. That should be internationally outlawed. Ugh, ruined my day.

Re: Dolphins' Massacre Festival in Italy

In my searching I came across this video from Japan, equally disturbing, and it's dolphins http://www.glumbert.com/media/dolphin It's pretty graphic so if you have a weak stomach I'd suggest not watching it.

I found this article on it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Whaling..._Faroe_Islands

It's not Italy, but the Faroe Islands, and they kill the whales for food, not just for the sake of killing them. According to the article, they are prohibited from using firearms or harpoons to kill the whales, so they are beached and then killed by cutting the spine with some specialized knife, which also cuts the main arteries, which is what turns the sea red.

Seems it's only people getting food in a manner that's been going on in our world for over 800 years, not a gratuitous bloodfest! The people pictured above have gone ahead and made their methods less cruel and more humane, to boot.

Finding out first FTW.

The animals we receive our meats from could be considered to be treated in a much less kind manner. The animals we hunt for sport are hunted for sport, and it's done so with guns, arrows, and what have you. What's wrong with us?

Some eat dogs, some eat cows... There are people who see each or both of those as wrong. Would it be different if the pilot whales or dolphins were just haddock or salmon, or turkeys, pigs, or cattle? Perception decides.

Re: Dolphins' Massacre Festival in Italy - NOT.

I don't hunt or eat animals
that's why i said "what the hell is wrong with people"
i find cow butchering to be appalling

finding out first ftw

whether it's been going on for one year or 800 it does not make it right.
killing a innocent animal is always cruel and inhumane not matter what the method used.

Re: Dolphins' Massacre Festival in Italy

I love to eat meat and everything, but this is just glutenous. There is no way those people ate ALL of those dolphins! And I don't care if they are not endangered you can't tell me that casualties of that scale are not having effects of the areas ecosystem which also effects biodiversity. Anyway whatever the world is messed up no matter where you look to, I saw we drop a few nukes roast some marshmallows and call it a day!
