Best tires?

Any suggestions for tires on stock rims? And their specs? I prefer All-season since I'm in Canada.

Bridgestones are nice...Benebob got a great price on them (closeout) a while back...you might still be able to find them.

I've put about 50 miles on a set of Cooper CS4 Touring all-season tires, most of that on curvy two-lanes (spirited but not aggressive driving), and am really pleased, though I've yet to drive them in the rain. V-rated (<149 MPH), treadwear 520, traction A, temp A, $130 each, mounted and balanced on stock wheels.

My other car has been running Cooper all-season tires for some 20,000 miles. No complaints.

The online tirerack.com survey ranks the Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S as the best high performance all season. It does come in on the pricey side though, at $150/tire. I have Goodyear Alegras on one of the Foresters, Yokohama AVID V4's on the other. I find the Alegra's to be far superior to the Yoko's in the snow. The Alegras have more of a proper all season tread, with siping and agressive blocks. I don't think Alegra's come in V speed ratings though.

If you're willing to go down to an H speed rating (210 KPH instead of the stock SVX V rated 240) there's a lot more options. The Goodyear Assurance TripleTread is a good one.

I just picked up a set of Goodyear Eagle F1 All Seasons (not the regular ones) and 2k miles later I'm lovin them. Great on dry roads, good in the rain, and not too shabby in the snow either. They have more of a dry performance bias then most all season tires though... I think they were about $150 each with mounting and balancing.

I have put about 15000 miles on my Bridgestone Turanza LS-Vs. They are really nice tires, they actually stick better than the kumhos they replaced in all situations, but they have more sidewall flex. They are on the pricy side, however.

I love and prefer Nokians during winter months. They do have an all weather tire but I have never used it. I have heard nothing but good things about their WR tire. They are an awesome winter tire. So good Bridgestone bought stock in Nokian so they can share some of the information. As can now be seen in the bridgestone winter tires.

I have switched over to the goodyear brand for other then snow driving. Not sure what I will use on the SVX... maybe the Tripletred.
